Default Sickness after mania?

Iíve noticed a pattern with my loved one, it seems they are sick with flu-like symptoms after being hypomanic. Does anyone have experience with family members who have this, is it fairly common?

I haven't noticed that in myself. Could it be where your loved one has been, maybe exposed to something?
