Hi.

Years ago (10 and more), my mother had a stroke, (she was hospitalized, in coma, etc).

She ended up with cognitive disorders.

Long to tell, but she ended up with Accumulative disorder.

The house is messy, the kitchen table is full, sometimes not even a part to put a dish or a glass, because is full of stuff. Theres stuff all over the place. She doesnt care the place is like that.

She have short memory loss too.

She cant make simple maths, like 10x10, if you teach them, she forget it.

She have anger problems, she get p*seed by anything, she likes to argue (with any person).

She have a storng imagination (because her brain is messy).

Ive been telling this in so many forums and gorups that im tired to narrate this.

She cant wash her hair at the bathroom (she gets dizzy when she closer her eyes), shes been washing her hair on the kitchen since years.

If some food drops on the floor she doesnt care and pick it up and eat it, even if its ice cream, or a cookie from who knows how much time its there.

She doesnt care if the floor is almost black from all the dirty.

She have a point when she knows things are too dirty nad needs to be clean, but she tolerates be in a dirty place more than average people.

She is very obsessive when talk with other people, the words to use, she likes to do a "speech", using "fancy words" (inteligent words), and sound superior than everything, and she glorifies "people of knowledge", its a whole thing she have, a whole story to tell (pretty interesting really, and annoying lately).

She have been playing the victim role lately.

I mostly look to find other people with parents with this kind of problems, not really for support them (our parents), mostly to talk about how is to have a parent like this, im 27 old, my mother is 59.

Ive been dealing with her since years. Im her only family, my sister have a bad relationship with her, and lives in other country.

She doesnt have many people to phone her to ask her how is she doing, and sometimes passing months withouth seeing any person, no one fix to do things at least 1 time at the month, or 1 time every 2 months, or every 3...

I'm sorry to hear about your mother's problems. Could you get her to a doctor and report all what you've told us? The doctor might have some ideas for what might help. Also, she could have developed some other physical disorders in the meantime--and they might be able to be treated.
