There is nothing I can do.
I don't mean that in a bad way. I've spent 13 years fighting my mother's depression and there is nothing I can do while she won't fight it. While she ignores the medicine side of things. While she won't go to the hospital because "it probably won't help" even though she's obviously crashing and burning. There's nothing I can do. I need to help myself now. I need to start figuring out how to live my life for me and not for her.
There's nothing I can do.

You have done so much but how can one help someone who rejects help? My heart goes out to you, BrightShadows! Wish I knew what to say.

Hi BrightShadows. I am sorry you are feeling so helpless to help your mother that refuses help. It must be very sad for you.

I do 5 minute Tai Chi on youtube and adrienne's complete beginner yoga and guided meditations that help me find my inner joy in the midst of all the turmoil around me.

Feel free to PM me or reply to this post if you want links.

I think finding a Therapist for yourself can help you process that your mom chooses to stay unwell .. you can learn coping skills and how to construct boundaries that will help you when dealing with not just your mom but life in general.

I think most everyone could benefit seeing a Therapist for a while
