I took my first dose of MDMA at 16, I was very careful and weighed the drug for my specific body weight. After the first initial "what's going to happen" anxiety after swallowing the pill, I had a pretty good time. A few minor panic attacks between the trip but Aftermath was kinda rough, it left me with severely depleted serotonin that took awhile to get back up. I took it again about 3-4 months later and basically the same trip. This after math was a bit more rougher and left me feeling sick and very anxious.
Its been about 5 months since I've taken my last dose and thinking about MDMA gives me these "flashbacks", where I feel sick or nauseous, I have anxiety like my stomach just dropped like on a roller coaster. just by the thought of MDMA. My own thougts are causing me physical discomfort, is this PTSD ? |

PTSD is a mental health disorder caused by exposure to a disturbing or distressing event, such as having your life threatened, experiencing sexual violence or suffering a severe injury. Although it’s quite common for people with PTSD to abuse substances, I’ve never heard that the drug abuse itself that causes PTSD.
Over the course of the week following moderate use of MDMA, you may experience things like irritability, anxiety, depression, and memory and attention problems. I’m guessing the anxiety you have now is the result of abusing the drug. Though if bad experiences when using it is traumatized for you then you might develop PTSD. No one here is an expert who can diagnose you though. I suggest you seek for a professional help. __________________ One day I’ll leave my 6 flowers

my suggestion is contact your treatment provider or a mental health treatment provider where you may be living / residing right now. they will be able to get you into the right programs you need for your drug usage and symptoms from using drugs. |

Criterion H (required): Symptoms are not due to medication, substance use, or other illness. you can find this here https://www.ptsd.va.gov/professional...teria_ptsd.asp or by visiting your local library reference department. they will be able to show you what the diagnostic criteria in your location is for PTSD since 2013. |

Congratulations for getting off that dangerous drug. You may be experience flashbacks or delayed withdrawal symptoms. It takes a very long time to get off drugs. Especially the psychological effects. Those can come back ever so often for a long time. I haven’t use cocaine in 25 years and still I get an occasional craving.
I get anxious and nauseated when I start remembering all the stupid things I’ve done in the past. Perhaps you are experiencing something like that? __________________ Eat a live frog for breakfast every morning and nothing worse can happen to you that day!
