So I went back to work, I got off medication, I haven't had caffeine in 8 days, I graduated from yet another therapist. Yet people are telling me I still have ptsd because of how I am triggered by relationships. I'm so confused. I got off disability and medication so as far as I'm concerned I'm healed/well, but maybe not. What do y'all think about being able to heal/from overcome ptsd. What does that mean to you?

I think one can overcome PTSD I used EMDR treatments after many years or regular therapy. This EMDR helped healing the brain and filling in the emotional events from traumatic abuse which included ptsd. I’ve had moments or rather anxiety occasionally but it quickly passes. Perhaps if your considering therapy again try EMDR. It really worked for me. How far can we overcome PTSD?

Could it be that your reaction to relationships or other relationship issues are due to a different (or additional) diagnosis rather than PTSD. Sometimes people don’t respond to treatments because it’s something else that causes behaviors. I’d talk to a psychiatrist what he or she says

How far can we overcome PTSD? I’ve seen plenty of psych and it’s complex ptsd, which is not something that is ever gone

My t tried that on me years ago and
It didn’t work due to my lack of resources as a child. The last time I talked to my p it was about complex or chronic trauma.
