I have PTSD from events that happened decades ago. I have done extensive therapy. The PTSD and triggers do not seem to go away. I simply push it to remission and then boom, off it goes again. Is that as good as it gets or has anyone here worked through their trauma and no longer experiences bad triggering?

I haven't made it truly go away, but I have learned to not let it go as far, usually. Sometimes, it happens anyway, fully blown events, but those aren't very often. My meds seem to help with that as well as therapy focusing on it for a while

I no longer have bad triggering. No flashbacks or body memories. The trauma still has its grip on my life in places but not so dramatically. I hope that with my new T we will make some more progress.
