I only got to go to one meeting of the trauma program I was supposed to start back in March, before COVID hit, and everything was cancelled.\

I read today, that they're gradually lifting some of the restrictions this weekend, and hospitals are allowed to start scheduling elective surgeries again.

So I called the program, to see if they knew anything. Not yet. According to the nurse I spoke with the hospital admin are working on a reopening plan, so they hope to have some news soon.

I just hope I don't have to wait until the end of June.

Also my mental health clubhouse is closed so I can't go there, and I really miss it, but they've started having on-line Zoom meetings. They're not the greatest, but they're still better than nothing. That's only been going on for about a week and a half, so everyone's still getting used to the technology.

I know it's for my own safety, but I'm really starting to get stressed about not going out.

So sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has gotten in the way of so many resources. It’s definitely a struggle!

Well the news just keeps getting worse. I spoke to a nurse in the program, this past week, and she said to call back in September, because by then they might have a restart date. It's really frustrating to know I'm going to have to wait the entire summer.

I entirely understand your frustration. It’s just not exactly the same when you can’t do it in person!
