I may have posted about these memories a long time ago, but:

yesterday while I was watching a tv show, I got triggered by it

I am so sorry raging, I have experienced triggers like that myself where watching something or reading something or experiencing a negative exchange with someone brought up a trauma I have experienced in my past. I get the shakes too. Don't feel ashamed, it's what can happen when a reminder of a traumatic event happens.

Sorry about your ordeal. This is quite common when a trigger we experience brings back memories from long time ago. It happens to me a lot. I read something, watch the news, a scene in a movie, or a friend says something and the memory comes back and paralyses my mind. It is very difficult at times. I have worked with my therapist to make them manageable.
