in my experience, the trauma comes in waves.
some moments in my life feel like a living hell. i'm sure this is the case with many. sometimes i look back and see nothing but hell. other times i see the good, but enveloped in the hell surrounding it. almost as if my mind lied to me that i was ever safe. things are fine though.. this isn't hell. this is freedom; and **** if it isn't terrifying. but hey, i'm free. i'm in a wave of hell, but hell isn't where i live. i live in a special place. a sanctuary if you will. i'm safe. i'm safe. life gets rough, but it isn't hell. never again. __________________ "Give him his freedom and he'll remember his humanity." |

Very relatable unfortunately. Some days it feels like a constant trip back and forth; trying our best to find land after being tossed off the plank.
