Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

I think you might be misinterpreting my intention and stance. I don't enjoy tabloid reading and I don't think it advances our understanding. I agree that such news sources are unreliable and...

Re: Confused at Work

Maybe mentioning a sexual body part is a step too far? It's like talking about a specific person's boobs. Just a bit too personal? Whereas telling someone they are like a cat in heat is a simile....

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

Agreed. At the core I think my point is the same as yours. To be aware that media is biased in some form and we should educate ourselves about that and be very mindful of that. And more specifically...

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

But that is my point - even supposedly reputable news sources spread misinformation either by error or hidden agenda. Presenting both sides of an argument as balanced news reporting is actually an...

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

Most all news has some lean- whether right or left. Some more than others. However, there is a difference between a slight lean (or bias) and outright unethical and untruthful reporting. The latter...

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

The tone of the article was very much "gotcha!" Facts should speak for themselves. I don't like a news article to sound like it is rushing to a conclusion, skipping over a fact or two, and this one...

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

I wonder what news sources are neutral and impartial. For example, the BBC are well regarded (by most, not all), but are not the impartial reporters which their reputation claims. They are...

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

FYI. I'm not sure if you're aware, but the NY Post is a right wing tabloid owned by News Corp/Murdoch family. Here in the U.S. it is not a well regarded or respected news source due to publishing...

Re: Roll Call 202

Today, another 1.5mg of Vraylar. I felt very slightly sedated (Like an apathetic antidepressed state, kind of lazy or something, but feeling good).

Tomorrow, I take another - It will be the 3rd...

Maybe you do need to get the dark feelings out Art. Come back to it with a cup of tea and see how you can improve on it.

Lightbulb Re: How do I get over irrational jealousy?

A few months after writing this post, I feel much better. Paradoxically, by admitting to myself that I just don't like this woman (and she very probably doesn't like me either), instead of tying...

Isaac is here now, he is a kitten. He is everything Jimi isn't. Hes brave, curious and cuddly. I even saw Jimi being out and I was awake, that has never happened. Jimi just locked eyes and looked at...

Re: Acceptance - How to Cut the Cord When You're Addicted

Probably a good idea to get the divorce taken care of before getting deep into another relationship. Dealing with that legal crap & the emotions can challenge a new relationship because it does...

Re: Acceptance - How to Cut the Cord When You're Addicted

I'd read Baggage Reclaim blog by Natalie Lue.

Here's an example of an article that is about how values are different than interests, how to understand your core values:

Understanding your core...

Re: Difficulties at work socially

Meh. I wouldn't sweat it. Work environments can be tricky. I suppose the best thing to do is simply keep your head down, do your job, and let things go as they may. There will always be cliques....

Re: Difficulties at work socially

I was kinda quiet at work. Was part of a computer engineering group that did military contracts. Had to do presentations to the military every few months. It wasn't a really big company but we had...

Re: Bipolar Check-in #79

These meds, man, I swear if they come out with something without weight gain or EPS I’d go for that shyt in a heartbeat. If my insurance didn’t cover it I’d become a sex worker AND a drug dealer 😝

Re: Bipolar Check-in #79

Man, is there anything your insurance would cover BC for? I have PMDD and I think without mine I’d be institutionalized (and/or pregnant at that).

Re: Bipolar Check-in #79

I don't feel good at all today. Yesterday I felt fine. I slept ok. I woke up at 2:30 and I was throwing up my Dr. Pepper and plain pad thai forbidden noodles. I threw up a bunch more until I fell...

Re: Bipolar Check-in #79

Hope you feel better! Losing power sucks, I’d say even more so in hotter months. At least if it’s cold you can put food outside and keep warm with a fire or bundling up or even exercising if it’s not...

Re: Bipolar Check-in #79

Nice job going to the gym! Vraylar withdrawals aren’t fun especially with the long half life making it longer than other meds. Hope you slept better last night with working out and everything.
