Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

Yuck...

That's a horrible question in that context.

A gift from a client to a therapist isn't given with the expectation that it will definitely be put on display...but to insinuate that...

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

It seems like the issue with the fish has brought up deeper feelings of insecurity and doubt in your relationship with Dr. T. To me it’s just about wanting to be a part of his space and to be thought...

Re: Long-term clients and maternity leaves

I just wanted to give an update. L and I have made a ton of progress in our relationship, moving forward, AND figuring out what happened.

The biggest thing we figured out was what triggered the...

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

This also reminds me of my own issue of trying to be small. For me, if I'm small enough, maybe then they'd accept me. I personally do this ALL the time.

Your smaller fish reminded me of that....

Re: Bipolar Check-in #79

I have such trouble getting up and getting going. I just feel numb and sick in the morning. It takes several tries to get up for good. I'm still getting stuff done tho -- not a lot, but at least...

Re: Couch 248: Curiouser and Curiouser

I think I get it, LT. At least the importance of having part of yourself in that space. There was one item, a selenite crystal, that I gave L. I wanted it in the corner of her window so that the...

Smile Re: It saddens me how ignorant people are about violence and PTSD

Yeah I honestly prefer African American gospel-like music over the boring white evangelical ballads. The former is a lot more lively and upbeat. I can totally understand why you feel that way. And...

Re: Why is my oneitis stalking me?

Good suggestions.

The only thing is that I’d not have light conversations and enjoy interactions with people who went to my boss and told them that I am weird. I’d not try to be friends with such...

Re: How to stay on case manager and future T's good side?

I think, yes, you should. You also should tell her why you waited to tell her and why you don’t want to go to the hospital. Your reasons are very good.

Re: How not to anger the locals

Back when I lived in IL you could be asked to leave a resturant in Chicago if you put ketchup on your hotdog.

They don't **** around with ketchup on hotdogs.

Re: How do you feel something that isn't pain?

Honestly at this point I'm just cooking/cleaning for people, posting here, getting funky to some Herbie Hancock, and taking five seconds to ask myself if the healthy people in my life are going to...

Re: Who's the d-bag, me or this dude?

How did you not stuff the pancake turner up his whatever?! That was admirable restraint.

That conversation - his batching - would have done me in. You held your own! You must make some good...

Re: Psychosis 2023 emptiness

The med thing is a valid point, but also after a major manic/psychotic episode the brain does need some time to recuperate and things may seem dull and foggy for a bit.

Re: Psychosis 2023 emptiness

I'm sorry you're experiencing this. I often feel the same way. The meds that help with the extreme highs and lows often leave me feeling flat. Did you feel this way before the psychosis? Did your...

Yeah its just mother natures way of propagating the species. Its a batch. Its more like eating than they tell you - its an appetite that MUST be satisfied or else. Or else you struggle unnecessarily....

Re: Scheduling around significant dates

Would you even like the extra session if possible? If yes, I'd definitely ask. This is an extremely hard time for you, and if you want the extra support and R can accommodate, then I bet that would...
