Can lexapro cause add symptoms? I feel like this is happening to me... Also. I have been on it 7 months and have gained 13 pounds. have a hard time getting out of bed or getting anything done .. Libido is gone. Just kind of frustrated being on this drug. It has def helped with anxiety . just kind of feel down about my weight gain and the fact I just can't get anything done or be motivated . I'm also so spacey . will be letting my dr know my concerns soon..

I am also back on Lexapro after many years on Zoloft. Lexapro for me is the one that takes away motivation entirely. It kills the libido for sure although some people say that they Eventualy get some back over time. For me Lexapro is a strong mind disabling drug that puts me in a place of complete apathy. I have to be careful as I noticed last time I took it I got to a point I did not care about anything and felt that I was in a place in my head that I did not care if I ever got off of it, just wanted to go deeper into the apathy if that makes any sense?

Tried Lexapro for one day years ago, and it was totally demotivating. I can't speak to other ADHD symptoms because I didn't do anything but stare at the cieling and I had them anyways and it obviously didn't help.

I wouldn't call it ADD, its more like an "amotivational syndrome." look it up...its associated with ssri drugs, in general...

Those do all sound like Lexapro side effects unfortunately.
