I am just wondering if anyone else has had these side effects from Abilify: feeling of overall weakness, and difficulty breathing, especially when lying down in bed? It might be interacting with my antidepressant which is a tricyclic. Has anyone else had these?

I am on 20mg. It is too high. 5mg wasn't too bad before.. I just got a bit of a breathing issue in bed but not a lot to be honest. Am overheating at the moment. I hate being on it.

hi. i took 20 or 30 with Tofranil (Full dose), and...the combination did not work well for me. respiratory weirdness, weight gain, dry mouth, anger...just...no, never again. are you in an adequately cooled area? -all- tranquilizers/antipsychotics can interfere with your body's ability to maintain a certain core temperature, and it gets worse in hot weather. with a tca on board...--eek--

oh, and...antidepressants can boost tranquillizer blood levels. i think abilify can raise the blood level of some tca antidepressants, too.

please try to get medical help....

Yes I have had a lot of that. Are you on something else now? Are you still taking the Tofranil? I have had hot flushes today. I took the Tofranil too early today and had a dizzy spell. It was 3 hours after taking the Abilify and I have to space them out or I get the breathing problems and the dizziness with it. I do live in a cool area but if it is hot I do have more trouble breathing..

I think the doctors would say it is all in my head. But it definitely is not that.
