Okay, I posted about switching from pristiq to Zoloft a week ago. I am a week in, no pristiq and on 25mg of Zoloft daily and supposed to move up to 50mg Zoloft daily tomorrow.
Today I had massive anxiety, 2 panic attacks and have felt completely defeated all day. I cried for most of the day.

Now, I'm confused if it's the fact that I am on no pristiq and too low of a dose of Zoloft that is making me feel this way, or the side effects from Zoloft.
I'm panicking that if it's Zoloft that is giving me the terrible side effects, then going up to 50mg is going to get a whole lot worse!! I have 3 children and am a single mother, I cannot afford to be any worse than I already am..

I just need some advice from somebody who knows how these meds work.. the doctor doesn't seem to even think I should have had any side effects during this switch.
Thank you in advance.

Zoloft gave me the worst panic attacks that I have ever had in my life. I threw it in the garbage and told my pdoc that zoloft was not an option.

Thank you, I have heard the same thing from other people too. I woke up feeling better today, I do want to give it a fair chance but wow yesterday was BAD.
I also wish I could be referred to a psychiatrist.. I just see my family doctor now who believes my symptoms are situational and nothing else. The 'situation' has been ongoing now for 15 years so it's frustrating.
