Im on day 5 of Bupropion. I was on this a decade ago for two years and it worked really well. I get severely sick from SSRI's and can't take them so this antidepressant is really important to me.

the first few days on it this time i was waking up super early 3am 4am then I had insomnia and didn't sleep at all. now last night I slept well but woke up with puffy eye lids and facial tremors in the muscles all around my eyes when I close my eyes.

A week before I started this med I had a pressure headache that feels like a sinus infection. I still have the headache but naproxin numbed it down a bit.

I'm going to bring this tremor thing up to my dr. next week but don't want to go off this med. I already feel it clearing my head a bit and have a little more energy.

Has anyone else had weird facial tremors or any tremors with this med? Did they go away after a while or become permanent tremors?

Its possible my headache is seasonal allergies or something but the tremors are odd. I thought about going in as a walk in to my regular doc but if its something that will go away i want to wait till next week and just see my psychologist...

The reason for this med is bipolar II depression and I start lithium next week which I've also been on before.

*addendum- last time i was on this is did NOT have any side effects at all.

I would call the doctor who prescribes your psych meds, they can determine what may be going on. I wouldn't wait a whole week, could you leave a message with their office and see if they can get back to you? I'm not sure what it would be caused by but it's good to check just to be on the safe side

I've never had facial tremors with wellbutrin, I've been on it a couple years now but everybody reacts differently

^^^ This would be my reply as well.
I had been on bupropion for years and have never had tremors at all. My pdoc watches me for facial tremors when we change meds. There must be a reason for this. It's better to be safe than sorry. Please do contact your pdoc in order to make sure you are safe.

No tremors for me. But, as we know, meds affect people differently. I hope you can keep taking it. It's my go-to antidepressant.

I am hoping it subsides.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Yes but it was mild. However when I took Venlafaxine + Bupropion facial tremors got worse
After I stopped Bupropion and Venlafaxine I had no more facial tremors

Thanks the tremors sorta get better as the night comes which is weird because im on the XL version which i thought was supposed to keep the medicine level steady. i wake up in the morning still with tremors but barely.

I didnt take it today because i have a EEG and im worried it will mess it up and i feel much better but i also till feel the medicine and increased dopamine in my system. Did you have to stop those medicines because of the tremors or did you keep taking them and go off for other reasons?

I see mydoc again next week so hopefully she'll have a plan =/

With several drugs, it is difficult to tell where my tremors come from, but bupropion may be one of the culprits.
