At my last appointment with my nurse, she talked to my pdoc and they decided to take me off of Abilify and start me on Vraylar. I had never heard of it till now. I'm not on it alone I'm also on Lithium, Geodon, Benztropine, Klonopin, and Seroquel. I'm really hopeful that it works for me, I'd love to be able to get off of some of my other medications if this works well enough for me. Does any one have experience with this drug?

I hadn't heard of it until my client was prescribed it recently; then I started seeing it all over tv. But they have had very positive results on it (which they've said and as i've observed). Hope that helps.

I have heard good things about it. You are on three anti psychotics? That is really a lot.

I would like to get down to just one. I’m hopeful this one will be the ticket for me to come off some of my medications.

i am not a doctor, and im certainly not your doctor, but....

that's a lot of hard hitting psych drugs. i dont get adding vraylar. are they afraid of you or something? i had a psych who "had a problem" with me, for whatever reason, and I had to get my combination changed afterwards, but...

wow. my combination wasn't good, but it wasn't as heavy as yours. seriously. my biggest problem was 2 antiseizure drugs combined for "mood disorder," when really...

I dunno. maybe I was perceived as uppity? its really not very safe to take 3 neuroleptics. they're -always- serious drugs. im not trying to scare you, because...its your prescriber, clearly, but...wow. please see about talking about getting down to 1 neuroleptic, hopefully in the standard dosage range (doesn't eliminate risks, but does make things safer).

i hope the Vraylar gets the job done and your prescriber can trim down the protocol a bit.
