Recreational pot might soon be legal in my state. I have heard it is amazing for anxiety and works better and is safer and less addicting then benzos. I’m wondering though if it will interfere with other meds like geodone and lamictal? Kind of like the way alcohol does?

Honestly, I do not believe in using Marijuana as a medicated substance. Recreational use could be a good time or uplifting every so often (and so much at a time). I have also heard that marijuana use (as could any drug) could have side effects, such as paranoia and a bottomless pit of a stomach. So, be sure to know what you're treating and follow directions given by an accredited professional

Perhaps you saw this. But there is a new article, in PsychCentral's archives, on recent research findings regarding cannabis use. Here's a link to the articles just in case you haven't seen it:

I got a prescription for pot for sleep and anxiety. It helps substantially. It has had no noticeable effect on my meds. I recommend discussing it with a doctor as it is contraindicated with some mental illnesses.

i use cannabis along with my meds, almost in daily basis , i didnt notice any interactions, i use invega 6mg and prozac 20mg, but i also use cbd oil wich is taking most of the negatives of Thc away, i would suggest as a person with MI (psychotic) not to take high doses of thc cos it can be stressful and and trigger hallucinations, just be very careful while using cannabis
