Is alcohol free champagne and wine 100% alcohol free? Or is there still a tiny bit left? I think I remember reading that. There’s a really good brand that the store carries but I take Xanax daily and I know you can die if you mix alcohol and benzos. So I’m wondering if I should just stick to sparkling cider/grape juice for New Years Eve.

I am fond of sparking grape juice. I've never tried alcohol free champagne or wine, but I can imagine they are similar to nicotine-free cigarettes. Why bother??

I wouldn't worry about a trace amount of alcohol. Unless you are a recovering alcoholic.

There are 2 types on non-alcoholic wines and beers. Most of them, have .05% alcohol, which really is not going to affect you, and then there's those that are 0% alcohol. You just have to read the labels really carefully.
To be honest though, in my opinion, the non-alcoholic drinks really aren't worth it. They don't taste quite like the real thing, so you might be dissappointed. I stick with sparkling fruit juices. splitimage |

It has nothing to do with getting buzzed. I just genuinely enjoy the taste of alcohol free champagne.

It can't possibly have enough alcohol in it (if it has any at all--and why would it?) to react negatively with your Xanax. Don't worry about it.

I realized there was a whole other issue with it. I wouldn’t be able to taste the carbonation because of my topamax. So I skipped it altogether.

I am an alcoholic so I dont mess with any fake alcohol that tastes like real alcohol. If there was an alcohol free champagne that tasted like the real thing I wouldnt drink it because even the taste would awaken the beast.
