Two months ago I tapered off 20 mg of lexapro because I felt it wasn't working. just a week ago I was hospitalized. I was told that sometimes higher doses of lexapro are helpful during a particularly low depressive phases. they added wellbutrin and extra .5 mg klonopin

The doctor has me on

8am
1mg guanfacine
20mg lexapro
100mg wellbutrin SR
0.5mg klonopin

12pm
1 mg guanfacine
5 mg dexedrine

4pm
0.5 mg klonopin

9pm
1 mg guanfacine
20 mg ambien

this is the best drug combination I have had. this is after 10 plus years of difficulty with med management. feel way better today and it's only been about a week. still symptoms, but overall very good recovery so far.

I liked Wellbutrin. It had a calming effect on me.

why did you stop taking it? I stopped wellbutrin twice before, but it was because my anxiety wasn't under control.

as an aside. i don't really see a need for the 5mg dexedrine at noon anymore. wellbutrin is actually helping and it is calming isn't it. just a bit on anxiety as well.

I was never actually prescribed it. It was given to me by a friend who knew I was depressed
. I took it for about a week and thought I was "all better". This was years before my diagnosis and breakdown.
