Hi everyone!

About four weeks ago I started Geodon. I was in a severe mixed psychotic state. Within four or so days it crushed my symptoms (I started it around three weeks ago) and I have been relatively stable since. It is the first time a med has worked so well for me, and the first time in my life I have been stable. Unfortunately from yesterday I have started having mild mixed symptoms and this terrifies me.

First, has anyone else had success with Geodon and how long has your stability lasted.

Second, despite the Geodon did you find the after episode fall still occur and how bad was it?

Thanks

Geodon saved my life. I was in the hospital when my last child was 2 months old after having some dangerous self harm. They put me on the "magic " combo of cymbalta, lamictal and geodon and in 4 days I was ready to leave, and I have never gone back again. I know that might not be the case for everyone but it helped with me and I literally look at it as saving my life.

Did either of you have any side effects from Geodon ? Also, have you noticed any weight gain?

Geodon was also a lifesaver for me as well. I started it in the summer of 2007 and I stopped going to the hospitals a few months later when they found the correct dose. Once I got off lithium and celexa and got on lamictal and had some major life changes in 2014 and 2015, things have been going great. I have few issues, I never go to the hospitals and I can hold down a job. The anxiety and depression I do have is manageable.

But I noticed that all this began to take place when I got on Geodon almost 12 years ago.

I didn’t gain any weight on Geodon. And I also have lost and kept off 87 pounds.

Hi, I have experienced no side effects and I am on a high dose - 120 mg a day.
I have been on it about four weeks and have not experienced any weight gain at all.

I’ve been on it since last June when I was ip I was stable from about September until March when I went into a downward spiral that I’m still dealing with.

I haven’t noticed any weight gain with this med.

I have noticed about a 5lb weight gain but I think that is more due to lack of exercise.

I was on Geodon for 10 plus years. It worked well for me, but stopped and I started having uncontrollable movements. I switched to Vraylar 6 mg
