My GP said Lexapro should kick in for my anxiety in 7-10 days, I just wondered if anyone can attest to this?

I am struggling and hoping it will work soon

My psych says it can take as long as 6 weeks for full effect. I've been on it about 6 weeks. The biggest thing I've noticed is that my emotions don't feel so out of control. My anxiety levels are somewhat less, but I have Xanax as well so I don't know for sure.
