Seroquel lowers my blood pressure, which causes my heart rate to go up. This is causing chest pain at night, about 30-60 minutes after I take it. It feels like huge weights are on my chest or I've been kicked. I'm on 100mg, which is the least amount I've ever taken, but I think I need to be off it again. Does anyone else experience this?

Sounds like a rough thing to experience. Thank goodness Seroquel didn't do that to me.

I didn't have this with Seroquel. Please tell your doctor, it doesn't sound good.

I would also recommend telling your doctor.

I will. I can't see her except Tuesdays, and I've committed to helping someone this Tuesday to go get some tests done. I will call the office anyway. I stopped taking Seroquel and the chest pain stopped.

I think that was smart of you. I'm not a doctor, but have had similar issues w meds in the past. Glad you're going to get it sorted out.

I know this is an older post, but I had a similar experience with seroquel and had to stop. My-then pdoc argued with me that seroquel would not impact my heart. But my problems stopped when I stopped taking it.
There were some lawsuits a few years ago over some veterans who were taking it and died in their sleep from heart related issues. __________________ DX: Bipolar 1 Panic disorder PTSD GAD OCD Dissociative Disorder RX: Topamax, Xanax, Propranolol |

Didn't know about the deaths.
I was put on abilify today, which I was on for a while a long time ago, except with different other meds. I think I started having bad effects when I'd been on it and something else. Just popped my first dose now. Let's see |
