Any one taking Effexor? How does it make you feel ? Any one experienced weight loss on it?? I'm taking the lowest does currently and have experienced weight loss which is not good for me because im already very skinny. So far I haven't experienced any thing else bad. Seems to be working.

I've been on Effexor since 1998. It blasted me out of a really deep depression, so was great that way.
I'm not really sure how it makes me feel now - my body / brain are just so used to it. When I first went on it, I experienced dizziness, headaches, and nausea, but those are all long gone. I didn't lose weight on it, but also didn't gain any, which was a relief. Good luck with it. splitimage |

I used to take it. It helped me for a while. I never lost weight on it but when I was taking it I was also taking other meds that caused weight gain. I hope it works for you.

I've been on it for a few years. I don't remember gaining any weight from it though. It worked, but it killed my sex drive.

I was prescribed Effexor during a stay on the psychiatric ward and continued to take it for some time afterwards. I found it did not help with chronic depression. All anti-depressants are uniquely effective in any one case.
