I have increased my dose of lithium from 900mg to 1200mg how long does it usually take to notice the effect ?

hoping it will have an effect on my depressive thoughts.

It will take effect when the lithium levels get into the therapeutic levels .6 to 1.2 I believe.

it takes 4 days for lithium levels to stabilize but you have to wait and see what level is right for you. I hope this is it!

So only 4 days to notice a difference from 900mg to 1200mg?

my doc told me there were new lithium therapeutic levels .6 to . 9 I think

No,4 days for your blood level to stabilize. But it may take longer than that to feel anything and it may still not be the right dose for you. It takes patience unfortunately because it's different for everyone.

For me it took 3-4 weeks to notice an effect. It may take less time for you if you reach appropriate blood levels. I take 1350 mg and my tests came out 0.66
