Oh boy do I have a history with them over the years.
It started with Risperdal and I absolutely hated that medication as all it did was make me hyperactive. When I was 16 I was put on Invega and for awhile after some dosage adjustments it worked fine for the most part. Then I grew a tolerance for it at 18 and had to be put on something else. From 18-21 I was on various doses of Latuda and it did it’s job. Then when I grew a tolerance to that my Perscriber put me on Geodon, I was in a pretty bad manic episode and I was bordering on a possible hospitalization which I didn’t want. The Geodon definitely helped and it did fix the manic problem. Then I just felt flat for about 4 months and at my last appointment my perscriber put me on something I have no idea how to spell and I’m still waiting on Prior Authorization to even get it filled. I’m also on Buspirone but that’s not an anti-psychotic it’s for anxiety. |

Hi, LilacsReprieve, and welcome to Psych Central! I've been on all sorts of antipsychotics with a bipolar diagnosis. I didn't like any of them!
