I find the medications tend to make me forgetful. I used to have a really good short term and long term memory. Now I find myself searching my brain for some of the simplest things. I am also on abilify 20mgs.

Not to take this too literally, but would you? How would anyone ever know that? The game is trial and error. I can sit here and ask myself the same questions but it's not going to help me because I know I need the medications. Only you may decide whether the medicine is to your benefit or not. |

I met a person online who was on topimarate. I actually thought she was mentally challenged. Which was fine. But then she switched meds and she was suddenly a "normal" person. That felt quite odd to me, but I guess it was the meds all the time.

The main reason I decided to taper off clonazepam, was short term memory problems.
After my concussion I had to do some testing, and the results showed that my memory and cognitive functioning were impaired. I don't know if it's from the fall, the years on meds, or the years spent pickling my brain with alcohol. splitimage |

I find certain meds make me feel "stupid". I have no concentration and feel limited in what my brain can process.
