Currently, I am following the Ashton Method as well.

Slow and steady wins the race. If you taper too quickly, you're at a much higher risk for protracted withdrawal.
I'm still on it. I'm at 2 mgs. I lower my dose to 1 mg Saturday. It has been fairly tolerable so far. I'm really worried about this next cut though.

I ended up not cutting until last night. So far it's ok. But I took exra Zyprexa to help with the insomnia. We'll see how it goes. ...

My doctor didn’t give me a hard time but it was difficult this time getting it refilled. Just a lot of back and forth on the phone. I finally got a 3 month supply. I truly don’t think I can go off it.

Well I'm officially off the diazepam! Took my last dose last night. Hope I don't suffer. Ppl at benzo buddies say I will, but I haven't that badly with the other cuts. Some waves of anxiety but not like they are saying. I do struggle with sleep but I'm using trazadone for it. Just saw my psych nurse today.

Here's hoping this will be an easy end...

It's really not that hard if you come off them slowly. You might have waves of anxiety but they pass. But idk, the supervisor at the clinic I go to thinks I haven't had that hard of a time bc I've survived way worse things. Lots of trauma. I have pretty severe ptsd. So idk. But I think if you come off slowly it's not that difficult.

Happy that getting off the Valium wasn't that hard for you. Hugs. You're right the smart move is to taper off slowly just like you were doing.

Yeah, I'm a member of that site. Thanks for the recommendation tho.

Day 4 being off. Some anxiety last night but it passed. So glad to be off them. It's really not as hard as people make it out to be. I'm doing good.

Well I had akathisia last night. It was awful! It's from my antipsychotic. The diazepam was keeping it from happening. Now that that is out my system I have it.

Feelings of impending doom, pacing can't sit still. Major anxiety.

I called my psych nurse to get some cogentin. Waiting to hear back. But I'm on day 7 of being off diazepam. Yay!

Good for you for getting off the diazepam. Sorry though that you're having akathasia. Hope your nurse gets back to you quickly.
