Hi, Does anyone here take more than 2mg of Cogentin? If so, do you have any side effects? I'm asking because Latuda is giving me a severe tremor in my hands. I am on 2mg, but it doesn't seem to be helping. My pdoc is away for 10 days, so it's pretty much up to me to decide what to do.

I never took more than 1 mg for a tremor if I remember right.

Do you take it twice a day?

I am, of course, not offering you medical advice, but maybe talk to your doctor about taking it once at night and once in the morning to make it more steady (if you aren't already taking 1 mg once in the morning and 1 mg once at night.)

I took 0.5 mg in the morning and 0.5 mg at night and it controlled my tremor really well.

I do remember there was an awful dry-mouthed sensation on the Cogentin, though. That is why I no longer take the Cogentin.

Thank you for your input.

I've been wondering about a twice a day schedule.

I had very troublesome dry mouth for the first few weeks of Cogentin, then that went away, thankfully.
