Last November I got a three month supply of vybrid and in the interim saw my new PCP and we did discuss meds. I'm down to two pills and I went to the pharmacy today to see if they had it ready. They said they didn't get a script. Okay no big deal, I call my new doctor's office and explain that the pharmacy did not get the script. I get a call from the pharmacy that the refill can't be done. Seriously? I can't go cold turkey with this especially since I'm expecting. I saw I didn't have a refill left but I thought this was covered when I saw the new doctor. I'm not calling them again because they will probably think I'm drug seeking or being a "Karen". I have thought about going to my previous pcp and seeing if I could get an emergency script ( they said I am not allowed to run out and I could pick up a sample if need be). This is insane. My OB is even letting me stay on it for now because withdrawal is no joke. I don't know what to do and I'm frustrated because they can't fill something that shouldn't be messed with.

Oh, what a hassle. I am so sorry. I hate dealing with this. Recently, my pdoc went to all electornic scripts and it has sped things a lot for me. He likes it, too. Might be something to look into.

In the mean time, you need to have a very frank discussion with new doc about why they would not help you out. Do not be bashfull, or this is in my experience very likely to keep happening. Might need a different doctor.

Good luck!!!!

I can't call my previous pcp 😦 and one time at the previous pharmacy I was at I had dropped my pills in the sink and they refused to fill it early ( I had enough pills until a week before the refill was scheduled). Never trusted them again because I felt like they viewed it as drug seeking behavior when it was just my dumbass being a klutz. I just think the new doc is going to do it too. I know that last part is dumb but it has happened before...I'll try again tomorrow

Doctors can be a real putz,I got a new PCP last year who doesn't believe they had to provide care a specialist could (even if you did not have one),When she refused me insulin or test strips ,she got a boot in her ***. Every doctor has there hangups, after all they are just people ,advocate for yourself and if neccesary agitate them to inspire the best out of them .

I always say doctors are like plumbers ,you consult them ,if you hire a plumber to fix the shower and they break your toilet ,are you going to pay them or consult them again ? Same applies to doctors .

I dont understand why your doctor or pharmacy isnt helping you out more. Its not a controlled substance prone to abuse. Why would anyone look at you as drg seeking over a medicine that treats depression? I personally would call the doctor and any doctor including your ob and ask them if they are willing to take responsibility if you go manic, or into a depression or engage in self harm. Its ridiculous. You cant just stop taking that medicine.

We got it figured out thankfully. My old doctor didn't have refills and I called my new doc and they had sent it over later in the day. Still a mess but I was able to get it..its just frustrating because you cant just quit taking an antidepressant and withdrawal can make people seriously ill. Thankfully it got fixed but the anxiety was no fun.

I go through this every single time with my Xanax. I have no idea why he doesn’t just call it in when he calls in all my other prescriptions. But it’s back and forth with his nurse and the pharmacy for days. And I do have to tread very lightly since it’s a controlled substance and I don’t want to seem like I’m drug seeking. This time it took 5 days to get it refilled. I finally got a 3 month supply this morning.
