I have been excessively sleepy after my last shot. I can barely stay awake in the mornings. I'm wondering if I should lower my dose. I was doing fine up to this month. I am now becoming sleepy during the day and wondering if I'm on a too high of a dose of maintena or abilify. Does anybody else have this problem with Abilify at high doses? I'm receiving a 400 mg dose each month, I believe.

I am just on the oral dose at 25 a day, not sure how this compares to what you are getting. I do not get tired from it ever, though. You might mention to your pdoc what is going on and see what she says. If it continues, there are also other options, like adding something like Adderall or Provigil during the day to help you stay awake. Both have worked ror me when I was tired from other things.

I had my dosage lowered to 300 mg of maintena shot/ month. I hope it works still and allows me to stay awake.

I woke up and feel fine this morning. I usually feel sleepy. I think the decrease in dosage is helping me to stay awake. I just hope the decrease in dosage will help me remain stable.
