I had a session with a psychiatrist nurse yesterday about my meds management since I have mostly general anxiety and I have been having a lot lately. At first, I was going to stick with Fluoxetine and increased it to 40mg, but I was thinking I’m already taking 30mg and it has not helped much my anxiety and panic since late last year. The psychiatrist nurse also recommended Zoloft and Exfferor, but she said since I have a lot of anxiety to start taking Exfferor and I have been reading about other people stories saying they had symptoms if they miss their dose. Is Exfferor safe to take?
I was also given Vistaril for anxiety because she wants me to take less Klonopin.

Interesting for me also, because I plan to say my pdoc about Effexor. Also because of severe anxiety

My pdoc asked me, what do you want from meds. You've experience already. I told let's try Effexor XR. She said okay

I just feel a little fatigue from first tablet, but overall its okay. I read that it's more fast acting AD than SSRI. In higher doses (150 or more) helps with energy and motivation. Interesting med, which is used for anxiety disorders and also is an stimulant

I had noticed too it's fast acting for my anxiety compared to the crippling anxiety I was a few days ago and all February. My psychiatrist nurse convinced me to take it and Vistaril when anxious. Have you ever taken Vistaril?

No, I havent. In extra I take Tranxene. It's longer and better acting anti anxiety med. I was prescribed for 2x per day but I take one every few days. My anxiety is getting better actually. Although, Effexor makes me tired, I need to take a nap 1 hr to feel good again. I guess it's working for us if we feel less anxiety?

Yes, I have noticed feeling a bit of drowsy. Which I can't tell because my anxiety usually makes me tired. I still get sort of anxious going out and feel tensed. What dosage are you taking of Effexor?

75 mg for 2 weeks now. After 2 weeks, I'll call my pdoc, as she requested, and see if we need to up dose or no. What about you?

I wonder from which dose Effexor XR becomes a stimulant

A loved one is getting off Fluoxetine 60mg and switching to Effexor 75mg ER. The doctor said that the Fluoxetine may be causing memory problems. Good luck!

I take 75 XR once in the morning. Actually I love this med. I don't have withdrawal symptoms as others say, It's so much easier to take my meds and stick with it. All my meds are once daily.

Anxiety is surely reduced. My 4th day and I don't get 3x anxiety attacks per day. During these 4 days I just got mild anxiety 1 time.

Only side effect is drowsiness. I'll increase to 150mg on April 1. I read that from 150mg you get energy boost effect

Hello, it has been a while. After two months of taking Effexor 75mg, my psychiatrist has increased it to 150mg and I’m a bit worried. How are you doing with the increased dosage at 150mg?
