Please help on what to do with acne cause by lamotrigine, I'm at 150mg now with quetipine 25mg(every other day)
I was with it, lamotrigine 200mg, Tegetrol 100mg, fluoxetine 20mg, quetipine 50mg. But I never had acne problem Do you think I can lower the dosage even if my pdoc ask me to stay at 150mg? I felt that nothing is happening, unmotivated and emotionless is the side effect of the drug, and it makes me more anxious |

I never had acne from Lamictal but I did from Lithium, cystic ance, Oh it was awful. My Pdoc recomended a over the counter retinol face cream and it cleared up pretty well.

I'll list everything I tried, most of which is prescription and I saw a dermatologist for. Oral medicines
Topical medicines
Topical washes
I would do what your pdoc tells you to do though regardless. I would not lower the dose without your pdoc's advisement. I would discuss your concerns with your acne with your pdoc and really stress how much this is concerning you and stressing you. You are your own best advocate for your healthcare, and it is up to you to endorse what's best for you. It's your body and you know what's best for you. If you don't feel like the Lamictal is helping, you need to also tell your pdoc that too. There's no need in wasting money to see a pdoc to prescribe you medicine that you waste money on that does nothing for you. __________________ Diagnoses: Tourette's Disorder, OCD, ADHD-PI, Bipolar I Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety Disorder Unspecified Medications: Dyanavel XR 15 mg 30 mg/day Lamictal 300 mg/day Cymbalta 90 mg/day Lunesta 3 mg/night Dayvigo 10 mg/night |
