I was originally prescribed low dose (25 mg) prn seroquel to help with anxiety. I'm now on a much higher dose regularly.

My impression is that AP's may be prescribed prn for anxiety, but if they're for psychosis they have to be taken regularly.

As needed APs?

APs are not only for psychosis. For bipolar, it can be maintenance and main treatment for hypomania, mania, depression and euthymia. I take olanzapine 10 mg. Pdoc says that's the dose to treat hypomania, but it's my main med to stabilise me, to put me asleep and prevent from mood swings, including mixed states

I have zyprexa (olanzapine) to take as needed. 20 mg. Pdoc says that if I went IP they would give me a dose and put me to bed, and he thinks it is better if I do that at home.
