Sadly but truly i had a endoscopy done when i was 18 yrs old, they didn't gave me enough anesthesia and i woke up and was awake during the endoscopy. The doctors and anesthesiologist was too busy looking at the screen instead of checking on me. After that it cause a lot of Trauma because i could feel the tube all the way to my stomach. How they found out i was pushing that thing out like throwing up fighting for me life. Then they saw me and gave me more anesthesia. Which it made my case worst. The doctors never said and never notice or wrote down on their report. After 8 yrs i tried to look for an attorney because my parents were uneducated enough to seek help for me. My dad fought with the doctor and he was escorted out by security. It was too late to look for an attorney because of law rules. I went to mexico and saw a great doctor which he subscribe me Pontiride Medicine which is sulpiride. That got me back up and was fine for a few years. I had to stop taking it because i started working and got my degree. THe unsureness of drug testing made me stop it and it was a lot of hassle getting it from mex to USA.

My question is do anybody can point me out to a similar medicine here in USA. i have seen doctors and i'm currently taking Seroquel XR, but i think i can find a better medicine. My current doctor so far hasnt hit the spot on my brain to make me feel better. Yes i'm taking therapy too.

Well, god bless and let me know. I'm 34 now and still searching for life, which has been a struggle. .But i will keep trying..

Hello instinct: Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to be of help with your medications concern. But I noticed this is your first post here on PC. So I thought I would at least welcome you to Psych Central. I hope you find PC to be of benefit.

Have you looked at the different atypical antipsychotic medications that are available in the US? There are a lot of them out now, and I'm wondering, if the Seroquel XR isn't helping enough, maybe you could try a different atypical antipsychotic medication.

Maybe search for medications similar to Seroquel XR. Or perhaps talk to your doctor about increasing the dose of Seroquel XR, or perhaps just tell him or her about the fact that you're still experiencing symptoms and don't think the Seroquel XR is helping as much as the old medicine.

I hope you can find something that works for you.

What are your troubling symptoms? As mentioned, there are tons of antipsychotics now. All a little different. I have been on a ton of them. Some better than others. For psychosis, I have found Trilafon and Zyprexa really useful. I am bipolar and do better with traditional mood stabilizers, like Depakote and lithium and stuff. The best antidepressants I have been on are Wellbutrin and Cymbalta. I have been on maybe fifteen or twenty of them over the years. They all sucked but those two. Exercise and talking with other bipolar people are also critical for me, every day.

Good luck!!!!
