My current prescription for Seroquel is 600 mg at bedtime. Is that bad?

I took a higher dose at bedtime, but it made me really sleepy at times and kind of out of it. Everyone is different though. I gave it a chance. I was on it for about a year.

There are certainly folks on more, so, it is not out of bounds or anything. I was on 200 HS. I could not really tell I was on it after awhile.

I used to be on 300 mg at bedtime but it was recently increased. I hope it has added benefit.

I'm on 800 mg - 200 mg, 4x daily.

I quite like it, and it's working for me. Only downside is the sedation.

600 mg of Seroquel?

Sedation is something that I’m concerned with the higher dose. I don’t want to wake up feeling super groggy.

However, if this dose helps, I can handle the other.

I don't think it's bad as you say. I've been on up to 800 mg of Seroquel in the past. It didn't work for me for psychosis, but it is a drug that has different uses. Also I think it may be one of those drugs (consult a doctor on this, not me) that causes less sedation the higher dose you're on. Meaning that a dose of like under 150 mg is more sedating than a dose above 150 mg. I am not sure if the numbers are exact, but I remember reading that somewhere. Of course, Seroquel can cause sedation at any dose, though. So I don't know.

According to Stahl you’re right the lower doses are more sedating....

I was on 600mg for a long time but it made me very restless. That might be causing your restlessness you mentioned in your other thread.
