Might be a good question for a pharmacist or your doctor. I've found in most cases the side effects do lessen or go away but it takes various amounts of time depending on the medication. I've never taken Pristiq so I can't say about that one.

I'm on Pristiq. I started on 50 mg. The only side effect I got was yawning a lot. It went away after a few weeks.

I'm now on 100 mg of Pristiq. Haven't had the yawning side effect.

I'd suggest asking your doctor or pharmacist though.
