I just recovered from an ‘attack’, but they have changed on psych meds. There used to be extreme crying, but one med has stopped that. Instead there is all the anger, if not more anger. There is a new ‘panic attack’ med. i had a major panic attack on it, but taking the dose, doubled, that was the whole day’s dose at once because I was that worked up, put me to sleep for 6 hours. So, back to ruining the day just like before those meds.

I’m not doing any better on these meds I’d say. The anti crying one I am not giving up, it works. The relationship problem is causing the anxiety and panic attack and anger and that is not getting fixed. The meds to help cope aren’t doing anything more than knocking me out.

I still have no real diagnosis either.

This is such BS.

Taking into account everything you've posted it sounds like you need a more talented pdoc.

I also like the idea of you maybe seeing someone different for a fresh look-ski.

Hugs.

This guy is supposedly the ‘med whisperer’, genius-freak, lol! I think I’ve been through every doc in several towns. .

I’m seeing two different docs right now; a psychiatrist and a psychologist. One recommended the other (was told he was also a freaky genius), and I gave them permission to discuss me. Both my h and I are seeing them both together and separately.

If they help, I’ll do anything. It’s been around 5 months with the P doc, and it’s been only a month with the T. I’m giving it a chance.

I’m being treated with medication with no diagnosis except “brain injury due to prolonged trauma” and since the other meds he gave me haven’t done anything to help my issue, he said I was “treatment resistant”. Now these new meds haven’t helped my issue either.

Look, this really is a no brainer. The meds are not helping the situation because it isn’t a mental health problem it is a relationship problem. Why doesn’t any therapist get that?

When I go to any t, they never just say it is the relationship between two people. They focus on my traumatic family history and label me because I fit the mold. They throw meds at me to see if they work and they only mask the problem and don’t work.

I’m so tired of all this. Thanks for letting me vent. It’ll all work out one way or another. I’m alright.

That balance between "biological" and "behavioral" is so difficult. I realize how challenging it is to differentiate between organic and behavioral, I get that. I just wish pdocs and therapists would listen to their patient's experience. Most of us have a strong sense of what can be treated with medication and what needs to be treated with therapy.
