Hi roxanne I have not heard of that AD yet give it a chance as often the nausea subsides once the body gets used to the AD.

Hi Roxanne that’s what I am taking and started it and tomorrow marks my third week. I started noticing an improvement at two weeks and that’s at least how long it takes for your system to get used to it and it gets a chance to build up. I take it at night. I hear that sometimes patients might have to increase the milligrams as they typically start patients on lower milligrams. I am on 30 and some go up to 40.

You have to be patient. Nothing is an overnight quick fix.

Well I have been having a couple cups of coffee every morning. So no one mentioned no coffee. I think it’s ok as long as you don’t drink a lot of coffee.

No alcohol on cymbalta. No problem for me as I don’t drink alcohol.

I haven't ever gained weight on an antidepressant. I know that some antidepressants like Prozac and Wellbutrin are sometimes prescribed to mitigate weight gain but every person varies. One person might lose appetite and weight on one medicine while another gains a lot. It's so hard to predict.

I take Trintellix (which is the same as Brintellix) and Cymbalta (generic). Neither of them caused me noticeable weight gain. I can drink coffee just fine. Can't remember if it made me feel sick at the beginning. It might have. Gained all my weight on my AP Rexulti.

Pristiq works well for me. I don't think it's responsible for a lot of weight gain. That said, my experience is that almost all psych meds except benzos cause some degree of weight gain.

Are you looking for an SSRI? SNRI? Tricyclic?

A good suggestion.
