I have read that some countries will not grant you a travel visa if you are on medications for bipolar. Does anyone know which countries have measures in place that would mean I possibly could not travel to that country or visit? I take a mid range dose of quetiapine coupled with sertraline and mirtazapine. I have bipolar type one.

I've travelled extensively around the world, but all to countries that don't require a visa for Canadians, and I've never had an issue with my meds. I'm not bipolar, but I take a couple of anti-depressants, and anti-psychotics as well as a benzo. The important thing is to have them in their original bottle or package showing your name, prescription info and the Dr.'s name, so that customs knows that they're really for your use, and you aren't trying to smuggle in drugs to sell.

If you're worried about a specific country, call their embassy or consulate and ask if their are any restrictions on prescription meds that you can bring into the country.
