I don't know that there's anything wrong with unbiased, though I agree that it's not a well-written sentence. Though I'd much prefer that sentence to any of the 50 paragraphs I graded this weekend. These students are in my classes for a reason, but that fact never makes the endeavor any more enjoyable.

I don't know how your professor grades on this, but it is becoming more acceptable to use the plural pronoun they in place of a singular pronoun because of its gender neutrality. It also creates a cleaner sentence.

I have no idea about unbiased, unless your professor intended to highlight the whole word for deletion. I would say that her edits call for greater clarity and originality.

As for unbiased, the only thing I could vaguely think of is if she prefers that it be used for opinions / stances / thinking and not people? I watched Smithsonian Channel all day with its shows about tsunamis, stories about the Mt. St. Helens, eruption, other volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes. I find these things fascinating. While I like teaching, I frequently wish that I had gotten a degree in the sciences. Like I wish I went into meteorology or something like that, but not one who is on t.v. I feel like I am finding myself, but I wish it had happened earlier.

This is happening to a lot of people in my neighborhood as people cash in on the hot housing market in this area. And then there are landlords who raise rents on the same tenants for no other reason than that their homes are worth more, not that their expenses are any greater. It's so distressing to see people displaced like this. I hope you're able to find a good place that's affordable and stable.

I am so sad right now😢 A really good friend wants to go out for drinks and listen to a band but the bad news I’m still on medical leave due to personal reasons and yep that friend is my co-worker. I personally could see us grabbing a quick coffee but drinks and listening to a band while I’m on medical leave that really really looks bad especially when she’s sorta a blabbermouth. I mean don’t get me wrong she tells one person like I hung out with bobcat this weekend and we partied uh isn’t she on medical leave?? I just get sad because my friend only knows bits and pieces of why I’m not at work and I was actually going to explain some more bits and pieces of why I’m not at work and another thing that makes me crummy it is her birthday which I forgot about but in all fairness I have tons on my mind and I feel so bad for being the bad guy that is saying nope I can’t but I can’t afford a huge party atmosphere right now. I am sorry for talking too much but I love this forum so much I get things off my chest when it’s hard for me to turn to someone else.

Work relationships are tricky, methinks.

I wouldn’t go out at all with someone from work in your situation.

Now that Rex Tillerson is no longer Secretary of State, I’m suddenly getting a lot more spam from “The Desk of Hon Secretary Rex Tillerson”.

There’s maybe some opportunity to fine tune spam email timing with news events.
