Splintering is typically only a concern for cooked bones. The ones you can buy at the store for dogs are smoked.

I cooked tonight which is a bit unusual right now unless for a specific purpose like thanksgiving. I haven't just cooked regularly since my person died. I wonder if it will stick this time.

What did you cook, stopdog? I hate cooking, unless it's for my dog. Last time I cooked was at Thanksgiving. I made the dogs a dog-safe turkey and sides. It was exhausting. I've been living on Triscuits, cheese, and toast since Thanksgiving... should probably consume a fruit or vegetable before Christmas.

Damn it, I looked up this song my T mentioned today (related to something I said), and now it's stuck in my head. (I'd say what it was but don't want to cause any earworms.)

That sounds similar to my diet lately (plus coffee and beer)...not the best self-care. And I actually like cooking, just no energy/motivation. Thanks, depression!

I went out and got a tree. Not a lot left - they were really picked over!! I hope it opens some! It's super skinny right now. I bought new lights too.

Looking at it now, I am having a sudden case of the feels missing my son. I feel tears wanting to come.

Anyway here's my tree. It looks so small and forlorn.

I just put on some holiday music and it is cheering me up. Maybe I'll light some candles too.

It looks lovely. My cats managed to break my tree last night. It was only 2 weeks old.

Being a cashier, is so exhausting this time of year. I don't get any time to even just stop and breathe. My feet and back hurt. Ahh... why did I apply to do this?

Coffee is my only water source. Well..I drink a lot of ice tea, vitamin water and Cherry Coke Zero, but the soda habit will end with my last 2 can I have. Also Gobble meal kits are great for not wanting to cook. My boss gets them, the veggies and everything come pre sliced. All you have to do is put it in a pan and done. She’s says their expensive though and sometimes they are still hungry after dinner.

I was a cashier once when I was 17 for 1 day. At the end of the first day I told them no thank you.

So if a video goes viral over the next few days of a cat racing around an airport security area with TSA agents in pursuit, that’s new cat. You can all say you knew her when.

It turned out fine, they caught her and the trip went well.

Many years ago I worked the drive through at Jack in the Box for a short time. Hated it. Also worked in a fabric store, that wasn't too bad, the pace was a lot slower at least.

I cook once every other week. In part because it’s just H and I and we like different things, but also because I can’t stand eating leftovers. I find it difficult to stick to cooking just one portion of something. It always ends up being more than I anticipated.

I've done some meal kits, but more expensive ones than Gobble (they don't have many vegetarian choices). Some have been good (Sunbasket, especially), but I'm not sure it's worth the cost. I just need to get more organized and plan out recipes.
