Am I the only person in the world who doesn't like Robin Williams? I found him irritating and nauseating in equal measure. Apart from his role in One Hour Photo, he was suitably creepy in that.

Robin Williams always got too silly for me. I can make it through about 3/4ths of the way through Mrs. Doubtfire and then I'm anxious as heck. I can't finish watching it. I enjoy his movies until he gets too zany. Kit

I never was a fan. And I really detested when he tried to do a Serious Role (What Dreams May Come).

I love the zany. My ex used say it was like living with Robin Williams, epecially when i talked a million miles an hours non stop and covered 10 topics in one breath. I loved his stand up more than his movies.

Saw my Pdoc yesterday and talked to her on the phone today. I'm getting back on all my meds. I can't do it without them right now. So she's re-prescribing me Lamotrigine, Wellbutrin, Clonidine, and Clonazepam. Man, I take a lot of meds And my dad doesn't think anything is wrong with me. Pfft. I don't think I'll ever become a mom.

I am still mad your T scarlet in fact i am mad at all Ts who just flat out refuse to even consider having a discussion about peoples financial situation. At least my T agreed to see me at a reduced rate it was more than i could afford but i did it by cutting back on sessions and lately my t has been kind enough to see me and delay payment for a period. I once owed 8 sessions.

It's a chasm I'm happy to perch on the edge of and wave at you over. I also love his stand-up.

I know you're kidding, but of possible interest, I just had to complete a yearly ethics training and was told that as a physician at my particular hospital I am allowed to accept gifts of primarily sentimental value that cost <$25, though I am not allowed to accept gift certificates or straight-up money of any kind.

Not saying that this is how therapists handle things (they seem to all have different rules that vary based on training, temperament, phase of the moon, whatever), just saying that if *I* were your doctor I would totally accept those socks

I have given my former PDOC socks and my GP handsoap from Bath and Body Works. I think not being able to accept a gift card is dumb. Some people want to say thanks but would have no idea what to gift.

The wind-up potential is simply a fortuitous byproduct of my Robin Williams fandom.

It's really nice that your therapist did that for you. However, I don't think therapist's owe it to clients to essentially subsidize or loan them money. If the therapist is in a position to do so AND chooses to, great, but I don't think it's very fair to judge those who do not. I can understand why Scarlet feels hurt, yet I would not characterize her therapist as being in the wrong for requiring certain payment for service terms be upheld. I have experienced both situations myself (received free/subsidized therapy, and had to leave a long term treatment relationship of 12 years because I couldn't pay).
