So last week when I told T I'm dropping a session out. She mentioned that the connection might lessen. I've been thinking about that.
So I emailed T and said "does that mean you forget too?"

T replied
"No. I find I'm thinking of you more!"

That's a relief!

Being forgotten is the title of my life story.

My T had to drop our sessions from every two weeks to once a month last spring and he still thinks about me quite often. Hugs

Mine is, "You're not one of us."

I was the only american-born in the family of four. I always felt like something was wrong. I wondered if i had been adopted, etc. But i think it was "just" the chauvinism and misogyny (yes even by my mom).

Thread poss?

Your a card. I know.

It was kind of a USA meme before there were memes, that preteen girls would suspect they were adopted because their parents wouldnt let them wear lipstick or whatever. So i was never sure if i was just buying into that mindset, but i dont think so now.

Oh no. I know so many people have that same thought.
I'm just intrigued by it being adopted myself.

I think it reflects a level of security within the family - even though it doesn't feel like it's working - that a child can even fantasise about it.
I was terrified of being abandoned again so kept any thinking about my adoption locked away
