I used to buy Kinder beuno bars and nibble on those afterwards- haven't done it in a while now though.

When I get home from session it's time for dinner. I usually have leftovers or a frozen dinner on therapy nights.

I eat constantly anyway. I don't think I eat more after therapy. I just eat a lot. All the time, unfortunately.

Tuna melt and sometimes a beer. Or any combination of cheese and bread/starch.

I like the analogy of therapy as something you eat. Sometimes when I saw T2 she would serve up only an empty plate. With my current T, I go in expecting a simple salad of lettuce, cucumber and tomato, but she surprises me by serving up a salad with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, radish, avocado, sprouted seeds topped off with pomegranate seeds and a splash of soy dressing.

I am an emotional eater. I usually eat sweets or chips when I'm stressed as well as pizza and various baguettes, bread rolls and such. However recently I'm learning to be more mindful about my eating. Going low carb has helped.
What surprised me was that despite my emotional eating tendencies, I don't get them after my sessions. I'm usually too sad or angry to eat.

A plate of warm cookies underneath my covers, sometimes with contemplation about staying there forever.

If it's an emotional session, I often have trouble eating afterward, even by dinnertime (sessions are usually 12:30). I may just end up, say, nibbling on crackers or pretzels instead of a regular meal (telling H "Let's do our own thing for dinner," which he's fine with). I'm an emotional drinker, not eater.

Notwithstanding my joke about the cheesecake , I see my T late in the evening and often tell myself I'll eat when I get back , but it doesn't usually happen because I lose my appetite. Bringing up trauma can make me feel quite sick sometimes. So my answer to the poll was " never ".

Like a few others have mentioned, I usually end up feeling sick to my stomach and definitely not in the mood for food after. I often feel pretty intense visceral disgust too (with myself and my emotions), and that emotion doesn't really go well with food.
I also usually don't eat before my session. I feel ill and queasy enough on an empty stomach, I don't want to experience it with food.

I never thought of eating in a therapy session. My last T once kinda complained that one of his clients did not like when he ate in session in the evening. I thought that was really odd, I would not like it either.

My appointments were always late in the afternoon, and fairly frequently, we both snacked through my sessions because neither one of us had eaten for hours.
