My T revealed today that she has never heard of Bob's Burgers. I try not to assume that everybody likes or knows about the things I like, but I was kind of astonished by this information. I am now concerned that she is not watching nearly enough television.

I admit I've never seen it, but am aware of its existence (and I used to watch Family Guy and some other shows on there). It makes me think of when I was telling my T I was going to see Modest Mouse perform, and he later told me to have fun seeing "the Mouse People."

Well I watch PBS and reruns of the Big Bang Theory and reruns of shows like Murder She Wrote and Everyone Loves Raymond. Probably my first favorite show is Big Bang Theory but my mother hates it. Probably my second favorite show is Death in Paradise which they show on one of the four PBS channels I get. Kit

Netflix keeps rec Bob's Burgers to me, but I don't know why. I'm currently on a mission to educate my T about music of the 70's. She was a grad student then, but never heard Led Zeppelin? Seriously? She had a vague memory of Bohemian Rhapsody because of her kids, I think during the Wayne's World reprise.

Oh my gosh, I haven't thought about Wayne's World in a million years! What a fun-funky movie as well as I recall. What a hoot! I never heard Led Zeppelin either but I have heard of them. That's something, Kit

@ Art, you're a trooper to be able to keep up with all those hours! I think the most hours I worked in one week was 83 and it about killed me. I remember doing 60 hour weeks, but I like my 40-45 just fine, thank you very much! Just remember Art, you're amazing!!! Kit

But my guess, Kit, is that you weren't alive when Led Zep were rock gods. I wouldn't have expected her to know their album tracks, but to never have heard "Stairway to Heaven"? You couldn't turn around at the time without tripping over it! I loved WW--brilliant stupidity!

Yeah, I wasn't alive during the 70's. I did have a favorite aunt who has unfortunately passed away quite young, who was really into Janis Joplin and some people like that so I do know some of the music from that era just from being at her house and her blasting her stereo or records or whatever and we would either dance around if she was in a silly mood or just sit still if she was really down and depressed. But she had pictures of Janis up on her walls in her bedroom and stuff. Kit

I haven’t paid attention to any music after say the 1950s. I might know some names and snatches of lyrics, but that’s it. Some people just aren’t into current pop culture.

I can sing along with 70's and 80's music on the radio -but I usually can't name the band or even the actual name of the song. I rarely pay any attention to lyrics. I can recognize more music from the 30's and 40's because we used to play it in the pep band. I know music from the 50's and 60's because it was what my parents' listened to along with musicals. I know musicals from before 1980 well also.
So I can tell you that something is from the Tommy Dorsey or Glenn Miller band before I can tell you if it is Journey.
And I am very good with music before 1850.
But I don't follow current bands or know who is in a movie or anything. I haven't seen a full movie since the last time a Christopher Guest movie came out.

I love Death in Paradise! I can never figure them out. Danny John-Jules (the skinny older detective) is so darling - did you see he left the show to go on Britains Dancing with the Stars?

Hey new couch. It's leftover chili tonight, and some mindless TV or maybe I'll get back into my book. The little finished the first Harry Potter book and has started on the second, we have fun reading parts aloud to each other, but her accent is horrible. My oldest has been having a hard time lately and wants to go back to therapy, best of luck to her with that. Hope you all have a good weekend!

I left the house today i didnt realize i was out of one of my meds so i HAD to go. It wasnt too bad. Im reading another Everest book so it seemed like spring outside! I got my shingles 2nd shot.

One interesting thing about these everest books - boy, some mountain climber guys can sure be butts. They delight in telling stories about how they personally humiliated other climbers, and they expect you to cheer along with them.
