I would appreciate some pocket riders for tomorrow, mid-morning. I am seeing my Pdoc again, and will have a list of issues with me, including BP II and possibly getting my former Pdoc's file on me.

It's now past mid-January, and my T is not back in the office, yet. In her updated voicemail, she said that she might be able to offer some of her clients (Why not all of us?) phone sessions, so if we want one, we are to call and leave her a message and she will get back to us.

Thing is, I want more than a phone session. That is, both Big Cool and Little Cool want that.

In one of her outgoing voicemails, she indicated that she had gone to the gym, for an implied light workout. Why can't we (I) meet her at a Starbucks, at a far table, to have a session? Big C knows why, but Little C needs assurances as to why this is impossible. I don't know if she's driving yet, but it's exactly 2 months and 1 day since she had her surgery, so wouldn't you think she'd be driving by now?

I've done pretty well, having not seen her since November 7th. I've only had two meltdowns at work. I would have had more, but then I realized I didn't need to stay in any situation or meeting that was upsetting to me.

But I'm getting weary of holding it all together myself, without T. And I'm worried about how many "extra" sessions I will need to work through all my pain, anger, sadness, depression, and everything else that's happened since my last session. I don't know how many times Little Cool will need to hear certain things.

Big Cool knows that life sucks sometimes. But for me, a lot of things have been sucking at once! Big Cool agrees with Little Cool when LC cries,
"It's not fair!"

Thanks for reading.--Cool

Hope it goes well.

Whether she is driving or not depends on what meds she is on and how restricted her movement is most likely. Keep listening to your adult reasoning. She had extensive surgery and recovery is a bear -- almost always harder than you prepare yourself for (going through that with my husband right now). Easing back into work through a few phone sessions is probably exactly what the doctor ordered (perhaps literally even). She can't do that with every client, simply because she needs to still put her health and recovery first. Try to be patient. Sounds like she's getting closer to a return to work.

I am always in.

Do you think it would be helpful to ask for a phone session sho you can ask for the reassurance? I know you would much rather see her but us a phone session better than nothing? Could you maybe ask for a video session??

I don't think she'd give me reassurances over the phone. Well, I don't think she knows, herself.

There are too many complications involved in doing any kind of video sessions. But thanks for suggesting it, anyway.

Along for the ride. I'll admit to being tired, so I might doze off. But in your pocket and in your corner all the way!

Well, I had my session today. We spoke briefly about the issues that are stressing me: my T still being out on medical leave, and my job.
Then I asked him if he knew my prior Pdoc, and he said yes, and spoke highly of him. A lot of people around here were really bummed when he retired; he was the best.
Anyway, I asked current Pdoc if he could get my records from former Pdoc, because at one time, old Pdoc thought I might be Bipolar II. Current Pdoc advised that the records might not exist anymore, because of the 7-year rule. But I think he will talk with or email my previous Pdoc, anyway. Then we talked some more about what Bipolar II looks like, and he told me I am not Bipolar II. So I don't have to start worrying about any new symptoms that might suggest that, because if I WERE Bipolar II, he would have to make some critical meds changes. He is confident that I am not Bipolar II. We talked about some of my work issues and told me to watch myself to see if I could discover any triggers for my anxiety and/or panic. Then, afterward, try to see what I could have done differently, to avoid anxiety and/or panic.
I want to say "TYVM" to all my pocket riders; your jumping in, though a little tight, really helped a lot.--Cool
