Sigh. I think I'm depressed again, and I don't even remember the slide down into The Pit. I didn't notice any depression triggers. I'm much more able to identify them than my triggers for anxiety, although I am learning to recognize those, more slowly, now.
I'm in my office. There are two projects I could be working on, plus my everyday sort of work. I feel a heaviness and soreness in my chest that might be Costochondritis (google it). But the only thing for it is Tylenol. Something I often do when feeling this way is, believe it or not, to listen to sad songs. There are several that I choose from, but I think I'll choose to listen to some upbeat bluegrass, instead. The sad songs are really not conducive to my line of work; I really have to concentrate on the details of things. Hope your day is better than mine.--Cool __________________ In a world where you can be anything, be kind. ; |

I hear you Coolibrarian. I feel like I've somehow slid down this huge hold of depression and I'm not real sure when and how it happened. I hope you are able to concentrate on work and not feel so burdened by the depression. Kit

Cool, with all that you have been dealing with I am sure your pdoc won't be surprised you atte feeling this way. Between the issues with your T, work, and this horrible winter weather you have been dealing with a lot.

I think I woke up depressed today, but it didn't last. I think I have a few twinges of grief/sadness/depression (and I KNOW those are not the same things!) today, but as my Pdoc and some of you have said, those are very understandable feelings for someone in my position. At this very moment, 3:25 pm, in the Great Northeast (of the USA), I am NOT depressed.

I hope you climb out of it soon. Hugs.
I'm just getting out of a rut myself. If it snows hard, I am going to play in the snow, maybe make some snow angels. Here's one for you: |

Where I live we get a few inches of snow followed by sleet and freezing rain so everything is pretty rock solid. __________________ |

We actually had snow here a couple of times over the past couple of weeks. It didn't stick, but it came down. It was kind of nice. Of course we don't deal with inches and feet of it, so that might make a difference. It was sort of a winter miracle for snow to occur here. A wonder some might say. Kit

Depression has abated...just in time for anxiety! I have two projects due at approximately the same time, and both are giving me a lot of anxiety. I'll see my Pdoc on Friday, and T on Wednesday (finally! hooray!), but all I want to do is take an anti-anxiety pill...but then I won't be able to work on either project! Running away is a wonderful idea, but not practical. Help!

Finally a light at the end of the tunnel. I know you must be relieved to have an actual appointment date set up; it's been a difficult time for you.
