Couch 191: The Lazy Caterer Couch

We need a laugh option!
T is out of town this week and I am just too damn needy! Poor T, told him I had done a lot of work with T’s before him but didn’t feel like it was complete... HA! OK, biggest joke ever! Therapy with him is totally different and I feel like I didn’t do anything with other T’s. Feeling bad that I did an unintentional bait and switch . T is out of town, pretty sure he is playing with grand kid(s) so REALLY do not want to interfere because I know he would answer/call back/reply. I don’t feel right taking him away from his grand kids. But this two week stuff is NOT working!
So... nothing wrong per se... just missing having a positive, supportive person this week. H is telling me I am going to quit on T or that T is going to leave and then I will be a real mess and he (H) won’t know where to send me... so hubby is just stirring the pot .

Trying to sew pajama pants... apparently I am only meant to quilt... this pattern crap has me pulling my hair out! So... that isn’t working as a distraction. Can’t read... T nixed my reading list and I haven’t found anything else that interests me... other than the stuff I pulled up on T from a google search... but had to stop that... I was unintentionally leaving a trail to T.

Can’t cook or I’d bring some snacks to the couch!

And the dang vet that put this 3lb cat on hospice care has never fought with her over a bowl of Mac-n-cheese!

Just managed to twist my ankle. Happened to me every few months while I was a kid, now my ankles are weak or something...

@ChickenNoodleSoup sorry, that stinks. There were exercises I had to do in track to strengthen my ankles but that was like 6 life times ago so I don’t remember them.

Sorry your t is gone 2 weeks. I remember my 2 week breal and i was not allowed contact. It was tough at first but i managed

One thing i found helpful was writing him letters. Nothing i sent but just to get thoughts out there. Stay as busy as you can and try not to focus on the end of therapy
Yes it happens to all of us at some point but it could be a long time. Try to enjoy him while you can

This is the first T I am actually not worried about the end of therapy with so it double sucks that H is stirring the pot. 1. This T has really, wonderfully, loft goals for me. 2. I can totally see him telling me that if I was that upset about termination then we hadn’t completed our goals... there was something else I needed from him before we parted ways. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “our emotions are telling us something” in 10 hrs . And if I had to “go somewhere” I already told hubby where I needed to go. They have a parallel philosophy to T and he did some CEUs with their staff.

I’m not sure there is even anything pressing that I need to tell him. I like the momentum we have, I like the feeling of being supported and challenged, I like sitting for a few minutes in his waiting room and decompressing. I miss the hugs.

Sometimes things unexpectedly happen to make therapy end early like with me but its not the norm

I’m sorry things ended unexpectedly for you DP. I know I would be a mess if something happened to T. If something happened to T I would probably have to go to NY and visit Fr to get past it. Seeing as T gets a LOT of Fr transference (which actually works in both of our favors) I don’t know how else I would cope. Fr. Would just hold me... once he made sure I was OK with that. We haven’t done much more than hugs and it has been over 5 years.

Had a dream where I was sad to be forty and getting old. Woke up to be fifty-five.

I feel younger at 56 than I did at 40. If I had a dream that I was 40 I'd probably wake myself up afraid I was back there again!

I think I am 41 going on 80 so I am all for things getting better at 50!

Now that im 67 i just keep seeing 70 flashing at me.

I like to think they healed to the point where they don't need an online support group.

I miss snake chamer. She helped me so much when ex-T left me. Then she took a vacation and never came back I guess it was a "reason" she came into my life (i.e. people come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime).

Pocket riders unite! I am headed to dinner and don’t like eating alone. Who’s in?!

I just had the Minute Rice brown rice and quinoa instant cup. I like it better than any of the plain rices. Which is good cuz i just ordered a bunch of them. I will get organized and start eating home cooked food one of these days. I put tasty bite madras lentils over it. And fruit and nuts. Indian food really needs their chutney!

I think that's pretty common, I, on the other hand am rare and I love eating alone...going to movies alone etc. I literally no one else who is like me.

Anyway enjoy your meal

I used to not like eating alone before smart phones. But now I just watch TV on my phone and am happy not to have to cook.

I like travelling alone, just listening to music and chilling out
