My last session with T is only two days away.

I am devastated, looking for advice or just kind words.

I'm so sorry you're feeling like this , it's hard sometimes when these things happen.

Sorry to hear, that must be tough.

I would suggest you 'plan' the session as in, ask and/or say what you would like to address so that there is no regret of having left anything unsaid.

Will you be transitioning to a new T? If so, you could get support from that new T as well.

Yes this! Regret has been a hard part in struggling with my loss. I wish so badly I'd done things differently in the last session, although he gave me what I wanted with it.

I am sorry for the loss, it's hard and I am assuming you are gonna be like me and cut off contact for a few years, which is even worse. If you need to see someone else, even short term, to deal with the grief, that is ok

I'm sorry this is happening but I hope you can make it the best session for you

Sorry you having to go through this, having been there I know just how impossible itvall seems having to say goodbye to someone you truly care about.
I would sigguest writing maybe a list or a letter of all you want to say, because having regrets about the unsaid is really torturous, and in the moment fir me at least I found saying the right words too hard.
If you are going to be seeing a new T then I recommend using them for continued support.
After that it's just take life day by day, im a couple of months on now, I still miss her and I'm still sad etc, but day to day it does get a little easier, and ok the days it isn't, then just allow yourself to feel all that you feel, mine is sadness, hurt but also anger.

HUGS Loco4. That's hard. I agree that writing a letter of what you want to say can be really helpful. Also, if you cry, just go with it. Don't try to hold it in. HUGS Kit

Hug's loco4 my last session with my current t will be in a month. If you just end up crying don't hold it in. Maybe get a card or something you might think your t will like might help. No matter what it will be hard. Know we are here for you on pc. Hugs

Thanks everyone for your responses and kind words.

I do have a name of another T, I have called and emailed their office but haven’t heard back Last session with T hoping I will soon

I am writing a letter tonight to read to T tomorrow as I know I’ll be too upset to put words together. I don’t want to not ask or say something and have regrets

That's good that you're writing a letter and have a name of another therapist.

Hope you can get the closure you need in your last appointment.
