I just started reading a book on Kindle Unlimited, "Confidential" . It's a mystery and I'm finding it interesting, because the author has either experienced this or had a really good understanding of what it is like to be deeply betrayed by your therapist.

I've only read the beginning, so might change my mind, but I'm loving seeing the characters in scenarios so similar to those I experienced myself.

And in a mystery murder book is where those scenarios belong!

That sounds interesting.

Also a little off-topic but do you think kindle unlimited is worth the price? I read a lot and keep wanting to try it....

I know you didn't ask me -but kindle unlimited goes on sale a few times a year (amazon's july event and before black friday are two times I know of) where you can sign up for a year or two years at about 50% off. I think there is or often will be free trials offered so you can try it and see if you can find anything you like. I have had it in the past = there are a lot of really bad books out there with truly awful writing, but every so often I found something I liked. I would try it at a discount or free trial first.
For example this one has expired - but it has popped up several times in the recent past:
Page not found - Hip2Save:
"Through February 28th, head over to Amazon and score THREE Months of Kindle Unlimited for only 99˘"

If you’re a Prime member Confidential is free through Prime Reading.

I find the ebook services at my local library—3M and Overdrive—to be better stocked for my interests than Kindle Unlimited.

And the Hoopla App (if your library participates) has a lot of ebooks, movies and audio books.
Also Bookbub - BookBub

I had Kindle unlimited for awhile, but didn't find many books that I truly enjoyed, unless they were quite old. Many books were self published authors (nothing wrong with that) who would put their books on for some period on Kindle unlimited because it improved their rankings. Some self published books are great, but too many were not. I am a picky reader.

Hoopla, available both for computer and devices via an app, works with your library card to give you access to ebooks, videos (movies, tv shows) and other content for free. It works really well for me and is intuitive and easy to use. Plus, free.

Your library likely has a page that lists whatever vendor they have for ebooks, so it would probably be easier to go there directly.

I wasn't impressed with Kindle Unlimited, but I have had a subscription to Scribd for the last few years and have found plenty of great ebooks and audiobooks on it.
